RSX is a great car, quality wise, that is no doubt. Congrats to you on that.

Congratulations, so do we all get to see pictures of this car here, or are you waiting for the MIOhio 2 party to show it off? _________________

I think they offer a DSG gearbox in the Z4s now.
That's what I was driving. I hate them. Yes, I can shift gears in 1/100th of a second or whatever but since I'm not driving for the F1 championship any time soon I still prefer my clutch. Those things are still too much like an automatic for my taste. I like being able to put the car in neutral (without using a gear selector) when I want to especially in snowy conditions. We won't mention other maneuvers that neutral is handy for.

You'll have to let me know what kind of mileage you actually get. The hubby mentioned it at one point as a possible purchase this winter, and I know nothing about RSX's. _________________ "A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have." -Pres. Im getting around 33mpg or so. I havent really sat down to figure it out yet as Im still getting used to it. But I dropped it off at the Acura dealershit cause when I was shifting around 4K it was having a lot of hesitation on fast shifts, so I wanted them to check it out. I picked it back up yesterday, and I couldnt believe what the service manager was telling me. HE said I wasnt driving the car agressive enough for fast shifts. How often do you have a mechanic tell you that? He suggested that I should shift around 5K rpm and it should be fine. Now for just normal driving I have zero problems with it, and now shifting over 5K Im not having any problems. Go figure.
I havent taken any pics yet. I was gonna stop and wash her after work tonight so Ill get a couple of pics and try to post them tonight. So far it is a great car and my only remaining complain is the stero isnt quite powerful enough, but that is easily fixed.
Yeah, with a high revving vtec engine, the mechanic is actually right. You shift too low, and the car will bog and hesitate and whatnot, especially on a low torque motor like the k20. _________________ I want to go out of this life the same way I came in. Its been awhile since I drove a VTEC, probably around five years. And my Audi was a whole different beast, and that Civic I had was the powerless wonder. The only reason that thing lasted so long was because it got good mpg, 40+ in fact. Im getting better at it now, lol. I forgot these engines are very different.
Yeah the Audis are nice because they're pretty torquey for a small 4cyl turbo. A lot of times with the smaller turbo engines you get all top end, no low end. Thankfully the Mini and my car are not like that.
And you're right, having 40+mpg is attractive, and kinda fun. Low resistance ultramiling and whatnot. I've been looking for a Festiva for a while now to have some fun with for that reason. _________________ I want to go out of this life the same way I came in. Very nice. I would be coming up to steal it, but I've kinda had enough of owning silver.
Sweet car, though. _________________ "A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have." -Pres. Ford
