I have no idea what that means, so I'll just say yes.
Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas is an incredible book by Hunter S. Thompson. It basically throws the American Dream™ on it's ass, and it's extremely hilarious. The movie is also one of the most faithful book-to-movie translations ever made (barring a couple of name changes) and Johnny Depp is FANTASTIC in it (in fact, his role in that movie is my avatar).
You should check the book or movie out when you have the time, I think you would enjoy it. _________________ -neofox87

I so want to go, but unfortunately it's just not in the budget this year.
I thought Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was kinda crappy. I mean, I dozed off at least 6 times, and when I woke up I hadn't missed anything important. Johnny Depp is awesome in anything, though. _________________ "A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have." -Pres. Ford

I'm going to do my very best to make an appearance...the biggest thing will be the budgeting for it; I can get the time off semi-easily. Besides, it'll be a great excuse to get away from everyone for a while. _________________ Is it bad when you spend more time around dead people than live people...and you're not a mortician?

We need to set a date by the end of this month so that Joe has time to check on group rates for accommodations.
Someone I work with who used to live in Vegas said that March might not be the best time to have a meet up out there as everything will be crazy with the basketball games going on and things will be more expensive.
We need everyone to either list the weeks/weekends they are available now and find out what works out to the benefit of the most people.
I have two of my vacation weeks scheduled already, but I also have three personal days to use up, so I should be able to make it out anytime from march 1st to May 10th. We probably want to avoid the Daylight Savings Time weekend as that would cheat us all out of an extra hour of fun hanging out time. Easter is also in march, the weekend of the 23rd, so we probably want to block that weekend out.
So avoiding the weekend of March 7-8-9, and 21-22-23 and arbitrarily listing Tuesday to Tuesday we have:
1. March 11-18 (weekend 14-16)
2. March 25-April 1st (W 28-30)
3. April 1-8 (W 4-6)
4. April 8-15 (W 11-13)
5. April 15-22 (W 18-20)
6. April 22-29 (W 25-27)
7. April 29-May6 (W 2-4)
8. May 6-13 (W 9-11)
Week 8 is Mother's Day, so we may want to cross that off the list.
I'm available for every one of those weeks and weekends (but I already have my vacation scheduled for Saturday to Friday for weeks 4. and 7. so those are my votes. I can probably change the weeks to any of those though, so feel free to vote for what two weeks are the most likely that you'll be able to make it out to Vegas.
Please vote for two weeks, Joe, check with all of your people to see what weekend works for them best, and we'll go from there. Thanks! _________________

Either early in April or the last weekend in April are bad dates for me; otherwise, any date should be fine. _________________ This post brought to you by Petty Revenge: When not being a jerk just won't do.

We may have a winner.
Joe mentioned in Chatty Chat this morning that he's thinking of the weekend of the 18th, 19th, and 20th of April. Pack your bags folks, but don't book your tickets quite yet! We need to nail it down concretely, so anyone who has any objections to those dates, speak up here and now. _________________

Okay people, check back in here or RSVP so we can get a quote on room rates for about the number of people who might show up. I'm currently sending a couple PM's out to people to see if they have any suggestions for activities while we're out there.
We definitely have to hit In N Out Burger, Outback Steakhouse, and probably have at least one night of "fine dining."
Got a favorite casino we should hit for part of the day? Fun group activities you've always been wanting to try? If you have any suggestions for activities to put on our sloppy, completely-open-to-changes itinerary, PM me with them. It's a little early, but let's get a broad guideline of what we'd like to do when we all get out there! Thanks. _________________

Psst, I did a search and they offer group rates for parties larger than 10 people, *MAYBE* for as cheap as $60... But April 18th, friday is already sold out completely. So, we need to know soon everybody!
Edit: April 18th, friday is NOT sold out, it is the only date for the Penn & Teller show that weekend, sorry for the mixup. Tickets still available, general admission, first come first seated far as I can tell. _________________

The show "Zumanity" was pretty awesome. _________________ There will come a time when you believe everything is finished, but that will be the beginning. - Louis L'Amour
