They look somewhat intimidating, and some of the larger ones look uncannily like bees.
But they don't sting, they don't do jack shit.
So why am I pissed, you ask?
Because they swarm the lightbulb in my room (they get in through my air conditioner, which unfortunately attracts them because of the condensation runoff) and because it's mating season, they land on you, and either sit on you or get inside your clothes (my sleeves mainly) and cheep.
Yes, this annoying, almost digital pulsing CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP. It's not really loud, but it's so strange and at a frequency just high enough that you can't help but notice it. It's the weirdest thing I've ever heard, nothing else cheeps like that, not any other bug I've seen. It's kind of cute, but I still squish them between my fingers.
Fuck them. My house does not have female ants. They need to stop looking here for sex.
maggot_hex Dug through LoDT and found an old thread with usercodes and XBox Live names of MI users so that people would have this information readily available. This makes Maggot_Hex a true hero in every sense of the word. Be sure to let him know how much you appreciate his digging through LoTD to find that thread so that you could post into it and read the names of other MI users who have handles on gaming networks, because he deserves the praise and accolades.
