I am currently reading Dark Waters of the Heart (D. Koontz). I think my next book shall be Prelude to Foundation (I. Asimov). Just 'cause I have it in paperback and it'll be good for traveling. _________________ "A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have." -Pres. I've read about 20 novels and 25 TPB comics as well as over 30 regular length comic books so far this past month and a half.
I've been abusing my library request system as hard as possible. Impressed the shit out of the local librarians, "we never know what's coming in next for you, but it's usually a lot of material." _________________

I gave up masturbating.
J/k, it has been a crunch, I usually read a chapter or two of a book at each break at work (while eating half a bag of popcorn or some soup). Then some days off I just read like hell, but usually it's in bits and pieces. Couple hours at a time. But if I'm really, REALLY into it, I can knock out about 100 pages an hour.
Comics go way faster though.
There was a lot of science fiction and Heinlein in particular, and that's some good shit. _________________

I just ordered a buttload (That's a word, really) of books from the UK, since a lot of books never/take a long time to get released in the US. Next one will be Last Argument of Kings: Before They are Hanged book three. _________________ <-Tri/_p

Wow. I'm a slow(er) reader.
Does anyone else just get pissed off at the mention of J.K.Rowling these days? My God, isn't a BILLION DOLLARS enough for her? She can't let anyone else even COMMENT on her writing?!?!?!
I hate that I like her books. _________________ "A government big enough to give you everything you want is strong enough to take everything you have." -Pres. Ford
Here's a list of writers I wrote on another forum, my descriptions are icky cause i'm lazy, but if you want some fresh faces these guys/gals are all good in their own ways.
Richard Morgan: Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk type.
Steven Erikson: Great deep fantasy.
Scott Lynch: Different fantasy, con men.
Joe Abercrombie: Quasi-gritty fantasy, fun reads.
David Gunn: Same as above but Sci Fi and more comicish.
Jim Butcher: Two series, both fantasy, different writing styles, both good.
Charles Stross: Sci Fi.
Stephen Donaldson: Very strange fantasy and even more so Sci Fi. Good 3x Fantasy Trilogy (Aka 3 trilogies together).
Naomi Novik: All right fantasy with dragons.
Patrick Rothfuss: First book just came out, damn good fantasy.
Bernard Cornwell: All right historical type fiction.
Sherwood Smith: Not bad, two books out I think.
Lawrence Watt-Evans: One of the old guys.
Neal Asher: Sci Fi.
Alastair Reynolds: Sci Fi.
S.M Stirling: Quasi Sci/Fan
Charlie Huston: A little of everything.
L. E. Modessite (Or however that's spelled): An oldy with a huge running fantasy series and some sci fi, same old stuff but I still like him.
K. J. Parler: Fucked up fantasy. _________________ <-Tri/_p
