Hey, in chatty chat tonight the idea of a great March Madness Mentally Vegas Incontinent Party was thrown out there, and it's too good to pass up! So everybody get out your calendars, schedule your vacation days, call off of work, redirect your flights, whatever it takes. March Madness is between the 18th and 30th next year, 2008 (if you are a huge basketball fan).
RSVP here in this thread or send me a PM with contact info and available dates. We'll try to work it out so that the maximum number of the available members can get together and rock out!
Joe is going to look into group rates as he knows some casino people out there.
As Joe said, it doesn't have to be during the crazy basketball excitement time, it just makes for a cool event name. So, let's make this the biggest and best MI get-together yet! _________________

I've got 4 friends who have never been to Vegas before, so their spouses / girlfriends / etc, andrea and I have all talked about going out together. In addition, there are at least 10 MI readers in Vegas that I know about.
It doesn't have to be March Madness - just sometime in the spring would work out. Also, I'm trying to work out deals so that people can share rooms and only have to cough up a little bit to stay.
Gambling is not the reason for the trip - although I'm pretty sure there'll be some of us who would love to hit the craps table / poker tables / slot machines and goof around for a while. For the most part, it's about getting loud, goofing off, and hanging out at Quark's Bar.
It seems like a really good spot to have a meet-up. So yeah - who's game?

March Madness is apparently an insane time to be in Vegas, for more than one reason - first, the activity is insane, but second, thinking you will actually get a hotel room at that time is insane.
SO! Who's got suggestions and constraints? I'm thinking the spring is still the way to go, maybe the 2nd week in April?

Oh I am so going to try to go. So so try. I dont see why I couldnt get it off work, and I need to stake out places for my sisters bachelorette party (vegas aug 0! Seeing if I can talk mek into it
I REALLY,REALLY,REALLY hope I can get off of work for it, and depending on when it is, I might even get PAID for it. Anywho, I think if anyone else is like I am with work, we need a semi-solid date, soon-ish.

maggot_hex Dug through LoDT and found an old thread with usercodes and XBox Live names of MI users so that people would have this information readily available. This makes Maggot_Hex a true hero in every sense of the word. Be sure to let him know how much you appreciate his digging through LoTD to find that thread so that you could post into it and read the names of other MI users who have handles on gaming networks, because he deserves the praise and accolades.
