that is just freaking AWESOME!!!
It makes my need for new ink dramatically increase. My next one is going to be cheap and easy; I'm getting "ALIA IACTA EST" tattooed on my right foot. _________________ Is it bad when you spend more time around dead people than live people...and you're not a mortician?

So, it's been close to 48 hours, and it's still stinging. My tattoo artist admits his technique puts the color deep, and where he wants it, but it does hurt more and make a mess out of the skin for a bit.
At least it's stopped bleeding
I have to admit, I think I like the pain aspect of getting a tattoo as much as all the rest of it.
I wonder if I should talk to someone about that ... na

The pain is half of the fun, otter!
I went down to Lancaster yesterday and talked to Rich about doing my next tattoo; with the detail I want, he's still only going to charge me $70. Hot damn. I have one other artist whose work I love that I'm going to speak to, but most likely I'm going with Rich because I know how well he can do what I want done, and he's just a good guy overall. Besides, then Loki and Jill can go with me like last time and he'll be totally cool with them just hanging out in the shop with me _________________ Is it bad when you spend more time around dead people than live people...and you're not a mortician?

Finally found my camera so I can post a picture of the tattoo I got last Monday. Two and a half hours produced this:
The outline wasn't too painful, but the shading, especially at the ears, was a bitch. I was shaking in pain during those bits. _________________ I don't think I'll do too well on The Price Is Right. I like the ink, Jackalope; I'm surprised it hurt that bad. I have a tattoo on each shoulder blade, and I didn't find it that bad...my pentacle has significanty more detail than the ones on my shoulderblades, though...it's the one on my left calf; that one was interesting.
I'm hoping to have the money to go get inked on my birthday, which is Monday. My artist Rich can do my ink on my foot for a reasonable price, and I like his work, so yay. _________________ Is it bad when you spend more time around dead people than live people...and you're not a mortician?

I wanted to get a tattoo with my cousin while on vacation two weeks ago but we were both pretty broke. Now I'm back into some money and my mom would beat the piss out of me if I got one

I waited till I was over 18 to get inked so my mom wouldn't beat the snot out of me, as per her own rules. _________________ Is it bad when you spend more time around dead people than live people...and you're not a mortician?

If I ever get a tatoo (and I am toying with the idea), it'll have to be in a spot normally covered by a t-shirt and at least shorts, otherwise my parents will disown me. _________________ This post brought to you by Petty Revenge: When not being a jerk just won't do.

my tats are covered unless I choose to show them off; I have one on each shoulderblade (covered by everything but spaghetti strap tank tops) and then one on my left calf, which is covered by pants...which is what I wear 99% of the time. Loki has to hide his from his dad, so he got his on his left shoulderblade. It's a relatively easy place to take care of, and is easy to hide should you choose. Frankly, though, ink is your choice. _________________ Is it bad when you spend more time around dead people than live people...and you're not a mortician?

Here in Ohio it's 18, unless you have parental consent. My mom wouldn't sign, so I had to wait until I was over 18. Most shops won't tattoo under 18 even with parental consent, and it depends on the piercing you want as to whether or not they'll do it (with or without consent). Evolved, my favorite shop in Columbus, flat out refuses to do any tats on any minor, whether or not mom says it's OK, and their piercing policy depends on how old the minor is; they don't do anything below the waist except navels on minors, and even then if you're under 16, they won't do your navel. I have several friends who were underage and whose parents would've signed for them, but the shop wouldn't do it..and I can't help but respect that. _________________ Is it bad when you spend more time around dead people than live people...and you're not a mortician?
