What? A contest? A contest! Yes, that’s right, show off your superfantabulous talents by creating an avatar!
The avatars will be judged on:
- Humour
- Originality
- Creativity
- Clarity (i.e. can people tell what it is/read any words on it)
- Quality
- Artistic merit
A panel of our highly-acclaimed judges (Jeremy, Coldnight, CallieMo, Kealiki, TimeRacer, Homncruse, and Jezibelle) will narrow down the submissions to the best 10. These results will be posted August 14, 2006 along with a poll for you to choose the winner! The poll will run for 7 days, after which the winners will be announced!
Rules and Stipulations:
- Avatars must be, at maximum, 100 pixels by 100 pixels.
- All submitted avatars will be available for use on the site and by Joe (Unless you REALLY want to keep yours personal. If so, write that in with your submission.).
- All avatars must be in by Monday August 7, 2006 at 11:59pm (EST)
- Only one avatar per person.
To Enter:
- Submit your avatar by Monday August 7, 2006 at 11:59pm (EST) by e-mailing it to jezibelle_@hotmail.com
- Ensure that the subject line is “MI avatar contest”
Include:
- The avatar (who would have thought!)
- A title for your avatar
- Your site username and e-mail
Prizes:
1st Prize: $50 credit in the MI shop PLUS a free pre-order for a hardcover of Best of the Worst
2nd Prize: $25 credit in the MI shop
3rd Prize: $15 credit in the MI shop
Since all you fantastic people visit the forums on a regular basis, you'll get a head-start on those who don't! Horray for being fantastic!

Well, the avatar has to be original. You can use pieces from pictures on the web, as long as you have permission to do so from the original owner and make it your own somehow with alterations.
Hey guys, this whole contest thing has kind of slipped away from us and we haven't been able to spend as much time as we wanted on it. We're going to start it over - and this time do it right! Joe has thrown in a free pre-order for a hardcover of Best of the Worst to first prize - so it is better than ever!
