Well, I find myself reading the forums, looking around at all of the dissension. Granted, most of these issues are from a few whiner little kids, but none-the-less we've all found ourself wondering; "how is Joe handling this?", "why can't people understand that this can and will happen?", what the hell could these stupid lawyers be so worried about, in this 'horrible' story?", and "what is the exit strategy?".
So, maybe, since we are the "editors of stories/the book", we might be able to come up with a way to help Joe...
So... here are my thoughts... of course, this is all from the outside looking in.
Here is my understanding of the issues.
1) Joe is living in Lawyer limbo with the story he wants to post.
2) Something is offensive/horrible/slanderous, and the lawyers seem to want to drag their feet.
3) Joe is, due to 1 and 2, REALLY burned out, and worried about being stuck in Lawyer limbo.
So... here is a thought (unfortunatly, I should have been a sleep a long time ago, so bare with me).
Still Mentally Incontinent, is a collection of stories written by Joe and voted on by us, the readers. So, post post the away, TO HELL with the lawyers. IF, and that is an important "IF", we vote it into the book, wouldn't that time be the time for the lawyers to matter. This website, is highly tied to the book, but it IS NOT the book, so what do they (the lawyers) have to with it. Even if the lawyers have an issue with the final book, couldn't it be changed (i.e. change names to protect the evil doers).
The only other thing I can think of, is Joe needs sleep, and the support of us... Hopefully, this will help him feel MUCH better than he has in the last few weeks.
Anyway, just a few thoughts from a guy who needs to sleep. If you have any other ideas that are slightly more coherent, talk away. Maybe, we can get Joe out of this rut.[/b]

the problem with joe...he's a fucking moron.
from the beginning this should have been a new story every 2 weeks. It's a long story for christs sake, not just a comic or something, plus you gotta know they'll start to run out. But the pressure to get it up gets him stressed, then depressed about other shit he's dealing with and bam, we're in a 3 week drought.
keep busting joe's ass because he does need that, but the problem is sometimes he doesn't see it as "hey, we love your writing you big dumbass! give us more!" like he should. _________________ http://www.jeremyhalvorsen.com
