"Right now, I'm 3 stories in hock (tomorrow will make 4 if I don't post, which I will, so let's not even count it and just say 3)."

Oh, I get it! It's a FIGURATIVE story! The story is in all our hearts, right?

Or maybe Joe's just playing silly little catch-up games with an online audience he's awfully lucky to have gained in the first place.

Either way...

yeah, but really, what kind of reason does joe have to post stories anymore?

oh yeah ,wait...

I'm not gonna like, the amount of different ways i come up with to bring up the fact that he sucks and and is going to fuck himself super hard should be plenty of motivation to just write a goddamn story...it is not.

I purchased the domain http://www.newstorytomorrow.com for a separate project, but as i feel it's pretty damn self explanatory for Mi, I've set it up to forward to there until I do something with it icon_razz.gif

I know, I know... This sucks. It really really sucks, and I'm slipping back into a hole I swore I wouldn't get stuck in again. I need to fix it. I know I need to fix it...

It's just hard. I can't explain really why it's so difficult for me to get anything out. I had this great story I was very excited about get held up from the legal side, and I guess it's just "yet another damn roadblock" for me... I can't get my head free to write something else, with this stupid specter hanging over me that someone's going to call it into question and put it on hold for weeks / months.

It's pissing me off.

Hmm....looks like Joe is suffering from a form of performance anxiety. All we have to do is figure out what the writer's equivalent of a fluffer is and get it for him... icon_wink.gif

I think the writer equivalent of a fluffer is the same as the actor equivalent, and that's someone to stroke his... ego.

I think someone needs a case of coffeecrisp for motivation.

But if Joe gets a case of coffeecrisp for each story he posts, he's going to get mighty fat by the time Book 2 is finished. Or is the whole case the prize for writing enough stories for all of Book 2?

Honestly, I haven't read much of anything he has posted for book 2. Really, nearly nothing.

He needs to take my indifference and apply it to his own mental outlook and remember why he has been writing in the past. Not because someone in an office is sending him money or he has a contract to honor.

No.

Joe has to write because Joe _loves_ to tell stories....

Right now, he is totally hung up on the legal limbo bullshit and he can't discard it and the opinions that may surround that particular story; its not the end of the world.

I remember in book one when some wankomatic mouth-breather came on the site and bitched for 4 or 5 pages about his weak character development, syntax conventions and generally was a nit picking pain in the ass. What did JtP do? He made fun of the critic and went on to write another story the next day.

So he's got a story sent to Gitmo; fuckit, its one story. Move on. Tell about that time in Omaha when the girl at the bar who was making eyes at him got up and went into the mens room.

He's just too close to the wall to see the mural on it as it were or something.

then go love to write and post it to the creative forum, or submit to the mi reader submitted story, you get some content up here too for yourself and everyone.

unfortunately I'm illiterate so i can't write anything to take up space.

This is one of those "classic" misconceptions of how it actually works.

Trust me.
