i am hereby deleting my account.
why?
because i've wasted wayyy too much of my time endlessly checking this site for new material every week when there is none...there's no reason for me to even go here anymore. new material doesn't get posted and it's just infinitely frustrating trying to enjoy myself on this site like i used to. i used to be a big fan, but now the whole experience of reading these stories is completely dry of any enjoyment. rather than further waste my time, i'll just delete my account...maybe i'll make a new one in the future if things click back into gear and there's a reason for me to belong to this audience.

You're new, you weren't around during the glory days when someone could rack up 100 posts in a couple hours. Chat was active in a similar fashion at the same time. In fact, my personal opinion of why chat and the forums are dead so often is twofold: you have people like opiumfireworksandlead (the guy who made the beginning post in this thread) that only see a handful of updates and leave, and people who pop into chat, see noone talk for five seconds and also leave. The other is that a large percentage of the old guard doesn't come around anymore. When was the last time someone saw a new post from DJ_Mittens? How about Slade? Or perhaps homncruse (and I bug him to come to the forums on an almost weekly basis)? Granted, a few of the old people have started coming around again; Kea and Anime all but disappeared for quite some time, but have started being active in chat and here. _________________ This post brought to you by Petty Revenge: When not being a jerk just won't do.

i liked snails comments, and yeah, it's a little busier when joe's posting, but still go post some new interesting thread posts, get people talking, but i didn't think of the fact he might only get to visit 4 or 5 sites a day, in that case I'd be a bit perturbed as well.
as for loki's post...i can't say i miss any of them but yeah, they were some of the biggest post whores. post whoring is great when you're doing it (what was the group of us that did it at first called? the spammer trinity or some shit?) but is quite annoying to everyone else, kinda like when that kid talks too loudly in a restaurant, but if it's your kid they could be hitting the guy at the table behind you with a hammer while screaming "poop!" and it's cute and funny. _________________ http://www.jeremyhalvorsen.com

That said, I know I'm pretty lazy these days too - got to be 'cause I'm spending 2 or 3 hours a day taking things out of boxes and putting them in the right places. Sometimes that means two floors up or down or over there, in the back room or, wait, I need a part that I saw 3 days ago.. I think it is in the .....
etc etc. Oh and today I bought a lawn mower and mowed the front and side parts of the lawn. Maybe tomorrow I'll do the back.
