Well, at least in this case, you have to have never been exposed, vaccinated, or otherwise have antibodies to meningitis; you also must be a non-smoker for at least 6 months, not use any recreational drugs; finally, you have to find a clinical research lab. Drugs in the blood would interfere with the drugs they're gonna put in it (after it's out of you). In most of the studies I was in, you couldn't even have caffeine. _________________ This post brought to you by Petty Revenge: When not being a jerk just won't do.

I've never had anything to do with meningitis. I have, however, been vaccinated against smallpox and anthrax.

OMG, the perfect study for me!!! I rarely drink caffeinated beverages, except when I'm on vacation (can't skip out on Captain & Coke!).
Also, I can think of a reason not to use a strainer for tea. If you're clumsy, like me, you end up dumping the leaves into your cup anyway. I was just in Boston for my sister's college graduation, and I discovered this cute little tea shop called Whittard of Chelsea (apparently very famous in England). I bought a ton of loose-leaf, and I wanted to custom mix my own...they do that, but I had no idea what I was doing, so I skipped it for now. What kind of space do you have for growing stuff? If you've only got a small area, you can do some planters with stuff like patio tomatoes or you can plant things like lettuce and spinach in windowbox planters.
If you've got more space, the options just get even more numerous.
