That's right, the second Mentally Incontinent book is done and off to the printers. You can read the vast majority of it by looking to your left, under "Stories", and clicking the bolded, winning chapters.
What's going to happen next? Well, for right now, I'm writing daily on
my journal which is more than just a blog - it's sort of a home base for my special brand of humor. I write how-to articles on how to win fist-fights, explanatory texts on why men fist-bump, and scathing insights into the latest "social networking" fads. Oh, and I also post pictures of cats.
I'm also working with my admin Jeremy on something we're hoping will go over very well with the community here at MI. Details coming when I finally get around to writing them up.
I'm writing other books right now as well as a graphic novel, which will hopefully finally see the light of day this year. I'm not holding my breath, but a lot of people seem to believe in it. Maybe one of them can help me get it somewhere.
As for this site in particular, it's not going anywhere. It WILL be getting a fresh coat of paint here shortly, to better deliver the electronic version of both Mentally Incontinent books, as well as all the stories that didn't make it. The forums and chat room will still be around, but as new projects come out, they will inevitably begin shifting away from being "Mentally Incontinent" forums explicitly, and become more of a sounding board for all the books, projects and other stuff I'm working on. I think.
And who knows - I still have a folder called "Possible MI Stories" that has a whopping 122 files in it, all with notes on stuff that hasn't seen the light of day yet. I may even eventually write the "Mall Daze" series that SexCPotatoes is such a fan of (they're my journal entries from when I worked at the local mall as a teenager).
Anyway, it's been a LOT of fun getting to know all of my readers at the various meetups and gatherings, and I look VERY forward to the fun we're going to have when the new book comes out September 2009. There will be a book tour, which means there will be frivolity and silliness.
I'm still on the net writing and hanging out - check my user account to reach me via email, IM or other ways. And of course, you can
subscribe to my blog and keep up with the latest Joe crap.
See you soon!
